SONY TABLET S

VERDICT: A decent yet expensive Android tablet.                                                          FOR: Display quality, wedge-shaped design.                                                         Against: No expandable storage, poor camera, expensive.                                         The stylish Tablet S features a distinct wedge shaped design that resembles a folded paperback. It embeds a 9.4-inch 800x1280 TFT capacitive touch screen and runs on Android 3.2. Sony has added its own touch with the favorites icon and a row of quick lunch buttons. The display quality and touch response is good , but there were instances of lag. Navigation is just about fine with Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and 1 GB RAM. Playstation certification brings with it bundled games like Crash Bandicoot and Pinball Heroes. The game interface late you hold it like a game controller with the physical buttons replicated on screen. It has built-in 16 GB memory and SD card slot ( up to 32 GB), but you can not use the external memory card as expandable storage. Photos taken outdoors with the 5 MP camera seemed washed out and the front VGA camera is grainy and noisy. Video recording at 720p/30fps was decent but the lack of flash hurts. At moderate use, you wont need to charge the battery on a daily basis. The Tablet S support MP4/H.264 video and MP3/WAV/ eAAC  + /OGG audio formats. Connectivity options include HSDPA , HSUPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Infrared. However you won’t find NFC, HDMI, or voice functionality. Astonishingly, The tablets does not bundle a USB cable or earphones.                                                       Dimension(WxHxD):241x174x10 mm,                                                                Weight:598 g, OS:Android v3.1,                                                                                        CPU: Duel-core 1 GHz Arm Cortex-A9, RAM: 1 GB,                                                   Display:9.4-inch, 800x1280 TFT,                                                                            Camera:5MP, Storage: 16 GB
