BitTorrent, the distributed data transmission protocol that is nearly synonymous with piracy,
has unveiled a new suite of services that might give copyright enforces a whole new set of
headaches. BitTorrent Torque is essentially a set of JavaScript controls that open up APIs for
custom extensions such as video streaming and transcoding. The first Torque apps will let users
turn Torrents into regular Web downloads, and control file transfers by simple dragging and
dropping.
